Isabella Asamoah is a clinical multicultural therapist and the Clinical Director of the Center's behavioral services department. She is dedicated to assisting individuals in healing from various traumas and relational wounds. As a former refugee and immigrant, she offers a unique perspective to her work, emphasizing cultural competency and a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by Black and African American communities, immigrants, and refugees.
With a decade of experience in trauma-informed care, Isabella is particularly passionate about empowering women and promoting healing in communities disproportionately affected by trauma. In her role as Clinical Director of Behavioral Services, she oversees programs providing essential mental health support, advocacy, and empowerment for those dealing with complex trauma. Her approach integrates clinical expertise with a steadfast commitment to healing and systematic change. As a leader, Isabella is dedicated to fostering an environment that supports personal growth and collective transformation. She builds services that enhance emotional resilience and well-being for all those she serves. Isabella earned her undergraduate degree from CU Boulder and her Master's degree from CU Denver. She is a licensed clinical therapist in Colorado and holds certification as a National Board Certified Counselor.
