MENTAL CARE

Our mental health department offers a unique support system that simultaneously helps participants throughout the healing process while assisting in their integration to their new community. By offering counseling services for those who have experienced multiple forms of trauma the agency is able to empower participants while they adjust to their life in the United States.
The agency utilizes licensed mental health professionals, master level clinicians and interns from universities in the area to offer these services, pro-bono, to our participants. Our mental health team serves a unique population and many persons that come to our agency have not encountered mental health care previously. To address these potential barriers to care our team is trained and has experience responding to multi-cultural mental health care and is therefore determined to offer dignified and comprehensive care to every participant engaging in services through CIIS.
